Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer & CAD Operator

Work description

Depending on your profile and phase of the project, you will participate in parts of the design works, including:

  • Study, propose structural design solutions, establish analysis models, execute calculation reports, ensure the design to meet all technical requirements as required by local and international standards.
  • Prepare structural drawings for Building / Industrial structures.
  • Make detailed structural drawings.
  • Interpret the structural design reports / instructive sketches of structure from other teams to prepare structural drawings.
  • Detect clashing problems during work and propose solution.
  • Implement the quality control of the drawings / models / reports.
  • Manage to deliver the whole package: document list, quality check sheet, printing… in accordance with the requirements of the project.

Requirements

  • Have bachelor’s degree in Civil Structure Engineering.
  • At least 2-years of working experience in design, detail civil structures (concrete structure, steel structure).
  • Can understand thoroughly architect drawings.
  • Have solid skills in using common structural analysis software and AutoCAD.
  • Have experienced in applying international design standards, ASCE/AISC/ACI or Eurocodes (for Design Engineer position).
  • Possess critical thinking, ability to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Basic skills in English.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in French will be a considerable advantage.
  • Accurateness and precision.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.

BRIDGE DESIGN ENGINEER

Work description

You will work on all phases of structural design of bridges for the metro / high speed railway projects, with following responsibilities:

  • Develop concept drawings and details for structures concerning bridges, metro station structures…
  • Prepare the design and analysis models, structural design reports of bridge structures.
  • Use initiative to detect problems that arise during work, report to manager, and find solutions.
  • Control the quality of structural design works and drawings to meet clients’ requirements.
  • Details shall be discussed directly at the interview.

Requirements

  • Have bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Have proven technical proficiency and passions in bridge structural design.
  • At least 3-5 years experiences in bridge structural designs: modelling and analyzing bridge structures, participate in preparation of drawings.
  • Have solid knowledge in the fundamental disciplines: strength of materials, structural mechanics, concrete, and steel structure courses.
  • Capable of using Midas software, or other common bridge structural analysis software.
  • Good knowledge in applying bridge design standards VN, EC or AASHTO LRFD.
  • Possess critical thinking, ability to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Accurateness and precision.

JUNIOR CIVIL STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Work description

Technical responsibilities:

  • Develop formwork and reinforcement drawing, based on sketch and schedule from a senior engineer.
  • Model structures using 3D software (Revit, Tekla or Allplan).
  • Initiate design and calculation of concrete and/or steel structures.

Details shall be discussed directly at the interview.

Requirements

  • Degrees: University and/or Higher. Fresh graduate up to 3 years experience.
  • Familiar with common structural analysis softwares (Robot, Etabs, Graitec OMD, Advance design).
  • Good at AutoCAD and Revit or Tekla is an advantage.
  • Good command of English: basic oral skill and good at reading/writing reports.
  • Good command of French is a plus.
