This project covers rehabilitation and construction of a royal palace complex in SAUDI ARABIA. PONTECH is in charge of structural design of the new-built structures including 3 concrete buildings, 2 steel buildings and 1 mixed concrete/steel building.
The steel building presents complex issues as it is placed on the roof of an existing concrete building. Our scope of work extends from Detail design to Shop drawings. The main software used is Robot structural analysis with dynamic calculation for earthquake and wind effects, under ACI and SBC norms. We also applied BIM procedure for this project, using Revit software.
